In the last few months, I have been feeling so blessed. I’m finally going after my goal of starting a blog and lifestyle brand. I have no idea what I am doing but I know God is by my side and will help me every step of the way. It has definitely been a learning curve for me and I am so excited to share this journey with all of you.

I want to share a few random facts about me. I hope this will help you get to know a little bit more about me and be able to connect with me on a more personal level.

Favorite City/Town

Growing up I spent a lot of my childhood in a little tiny town called Franklin, Tn which is just a few miles south of Nashville. Not only does this town hold so much of our history but it also holds a lot of special memories of my grandparents.

Favorite Life Experience

Growing up I wanted to be a country music artist. I love singing and I wanted to be just like Carrie Underwood, Loretta, Dolly, Tammy, and Patsy… But Seriously I really did. Country music is something that is planted deep in my roots. One day while we were in Nashville we decided to take a tour of the Grand Ole Opry. While we were on our tour I was telling our tour guide that since I was a little girl it has always been my dream to sing inside the famous circle on country music’s biggest stage. She looked at me and said this is your chance beautiful. Our tour guide had everyone in our group go down and sit in the front row. I couldn’t believe where I was standing. I was standing in the famous circle where so many country legends have stood before me. After I got done singing I started to tear up. I can’t even begin to describe how I was feeling. This is definitely a memory that I will hold close to my heart.

Best Life Advice

Be kind. You never know what someone else is going through in life. We all have different seasons we are in as we all go through the journey we call life. One thing I have learned is to stand up for yourself. Do what makes you happy and most importantly don’t ever, EVER let anyone ever hold you back from your goals in life. This is something I learned the hard way. Life is too short to always be worrying about what others might say about you or think.

My Favorite TV Show

The OC & Downton Abby

Best Relationship Advice

DON’T SETTLE FOR ANYTHING LESS THAN YOU DESERVE!!!! This is something I learned the hard way and it has taken me a while to figure this out. Don’t ever feel like you are stuck in a relationship. Be with someone who tells you you are beautiful, smart, and funny. Someone who will have your back in anything you do and help you accomplish your goals in life. I’m a Christian and it has taken me a long time to realize you have to be with someone who is evenly yoked. You both have to be on the same page with a lot of things including, your goals, money, children, etc. Couples will fight. We all have our moments. If you fight makeup. Learn to say I’m sorry and most importantly always say I love you.

Favorite Season

I absolutely love Fall. Fall here in Michigan is just breathtaking. Especially if you are way up north. The leaves on the trees and the rolling hills are just gorgeous. Even though I love fall, I also love summer. Let’s be honest… This girl HATES BEING COLD. lol, Michigan is known for our great lakes. We have so many lakes around us and it is so nice to be able to spend time with your family and friends out on the water

Favorite Vacation spot

Save or spend

I can’t stress this enough. Especially for you young girls. It is SOOOOOOOO important for you to save for your future. I can’t tell you how many people I know who have got to the age to retire and they can’t because they haven’t planned for it. Now, this doesn’t mean you can’t go & do anything fun. This just means you need to be smart with your money based on your income. Figure out your goals in life and come up with a plan and follow it. One thing my elders taught me is to save and put money into my 401k. If you start doing it at a young age you will learn to manage without the money you are putting into your 401k. It will be an adjustment but I promise you, you will thank me later. Some of my favorite people to follow and listen to their podcast on this is Christy Wright and Dave Ramsey. They have a lot of amazing advice.
